Since 1988 Don Ecker has been the Director of Research for the definitive publication on UFOs,

Ecker spent 26 months in southeast Asia during the war in Viet Nam, was wounded twice and decorated. Upon returning home he returned to college and then entered law enforcement. He has over 10 years as first a uniformed patrol officer and later a detective. He was wounded in 1986 which led to his medical retirement. Besides the UFO phenomenon he has always had an interest in legends and mythology. As a detective he encountered the cattle mutilation mystery and was intrigued by the fact that the animals were drained of blood. Researching the vampire myths after encountering the drained animals, well … that was one of the first steps in the writing of Past Sins.
